Can't agree. IMHO the original version which didn't have the orchestrations is far better than the Phil Spector version. Even as a 10- year old when i first heard the song in 1970, it just didn't feel right - until I watched the movie a year later - and they played the original.

@rissygirly22 - "tambourine dude" is David Jones. Trivia - David Bowie changed his name from Jones to Bowie because of "tambourine dude" :)

The nature of the Blues, was that each musician borrowed heavily from those who came before them, and without apportioning credit. That was the nature of the beast. Thats true for all rock music in general.
