This Chicago native began singing at a very young age in choirs and talent shows. In the late 90s, she was a featured vocalist as well as supporting cast member in the play "Slave Time Promise", and also won first place in a local Maryland talent show emceed by BET's Joe Claire. She has been a lead vocalist at her church, and also a featured soloist at various shows, conventions, and gala events such as the Black Administrators of Child Welfare's Annual Convention. Tammy was featured as a lead vocalist on a CD recording with the Celebration Church Festival Choir in Columbia, MD, and has been a singer with Darin Atwater's Soulful Symphony since its debut in 2000. She has performed onstage at the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, Strathmore Music Center, and Lyric Opera House with such names as Richard Smallwood, Karen Clark-Sheard, Kim Burrell, Maurette Brown Clark, Jonathan Nelson and Wynton Marsalis, and sang in musical productions of Porgy & Bess and Handel's Messiah. In 2007, she was a featured soloist in "The Ten Brides" at the National Church of God's Annual Women's Convention, where she also played a role as one of the brides. She also had a lead role in one of Stellar Award Winner Tony Small's musical productions, "Ribbons and Thread". Already this year, Tammy has appeared on the internationally televised Showtime at the Apollo, and has just completed a leading role at the Lincoln Theatre in Washington DC as a domestic abuse victim named 'First Lady Sills' in "A Change Is Gonna Come". Tammy has also played the role of a corporate VP named 'Louise' in another award-winning work by Tony Small called "Shine Through", which was performed at THEARC Theatre in D.C. featuring Broadway actors from "the Lion King". She was selected to sing the National Anthem for the Washington Nationals minor league baseball team(Potomac Nationals) this summer, in their biggest game of the year, and she has begun working on her own music project as well. Tammy is a strong motivator for women in business, as well as those struggling with life's circumstances. She has been a corporate level trainer and highly sought after speaker for various business conventions.
