Erica's Music

To my 125 subscribers or anyone else who has watched and supported me:

You may have noticed that I deleted every single singing video i've ever done; except "The Scientist" by Coldplay. I did not delete that song because it's what I listened to on my ipod as I was going through, reliving the memories that came with each video, and then finally deleting it.

Through out these years I've gotten some negative comments but what over-powered all of that was some pretty amazing people and the coments and memories they left me. I'll never forget the very first time I thought of deleting/quitting all of this. There were these two people that just insisted I didnt. Why? Because they told me that they believed in me, my voice, and they told me that I had inspired them to keep going no matter what. To you two, I thought of you as I was deleting this.

I left only things that Michelle and I have done together, that one singing video, and my very first solo video. Why? Because its all things that can't hurt me anymore or make me feel scared as to who's watching. I feel like this is finally what "singingerica" was supposed to be all this time. It's what I'm most proud of. You may think the "Adventures with Michelle" videos are dumb. That's fine. But that's just who I am. You may hate my "first solo" video and think, "dang! this is horrible!" Maybe so. But I can't even begin to tell you how I felt while singing that. When I watch, I can still feel that feeling. That's why I kept it. I was PROUD of it. I'm PROUD to have a family member as my BEST FRIEND and that's why Michelle and my projects are still up. Yes, even the cheesy "Juno Spoofs." ...every video I left for you is something that's made me who I am today. Something I'm proud of. I also left the Scientist by Coldplay video up because it was the first time a guy that really meant something to me actually liked my voice in one of my videos.

You have no idea how hard it was to delete the memories that went with every video. I think my biggest view number was like 4,000+ ....that alone makes me go insane. I started this thinking that I would just store my videos here. I had no intention of making friends, getting subscribers; let alone 125, and definitely no intention of keeping it up because that's what people looked forward to.

But, as hard as it was, it was just time to do it. Clicking "Delete" and then chosing "Yes" when they really asked me if I was SURE I wanted to do this felt really really good. I had the biggest smile on my face when I remembered a silly memory that went along with that certain video. I also shed some tears. Over comments that I remember reading, thinking, "woah. they actually like my voice." or "wow. they just said that my videos are what they look forward to." You guys that have supported this whole singingerica thing have been amazing. Thank you so so much. I know i just wrote a novel and it probably sounded quite cheesy, but that's just 1/3 of my appreciation for all you guys and all of the things this whole Youtube thing has brought me. Im truly forever thankful. :)

Remember. Only the "singing" part in "singingerica" is dead. I might post a singing video once in awhile..or maybe not. That's whats so great about it. I feel like this is complete freedom for me. I can promise that I will keep posting other random videos though. :)
