I think that this is remarkable for the way he can take that resonant 'chest' sound up through the register and even mezza-voce - whatever one's thoughts on taste or musical fashions it is a fine voice.

Some beautiful, ravishing singing at times but it is so painful to watch - my jaw was aching by the time she finished. Thank you so much for sharing this lovely recording - Miss S-R uses her instrument so skillfully interweaving with the obligato, it is almost painful in its exquisite loveliness. She uses just enough colour to echo Bach's humanity - super. I rather think Bach would have been pleased with this sound.
