@5feeve ever wondered why swivel screens are always fitted on entry level cameras and compacts and NEVER on pro cameras? Because swivel screens are a entry-level amateur requirement. Buy a compact camera.

@HQTStudio its difficult to generalise and say who needs IS, I use my f2.8 IS to shoot rock bands under stage lighting. Shooting at 200mm and shutter speeds ranging from 1/15sec to 1/30sec... I need the IS!!

Without it, I will have wasted money not saved it!

@valleyboy314 LOL! Pros dont use RAW just to "fix" their mistakes! RAW is used so that the processing can be done later to a high standard rather than allowing the in-camera random processing to do a crappy job guessing what the picture should've looked like!

@MaXimus1967 What??? How on earth can removing the lens shade give you an extra stop of light? If this is the case, it simply means you are introducing 1 stop of lens flare to the exposure and there is nothing good about that.

Lens flare doesn't always mean big spots of light in the image either...
