About Me:

Hi everyone how can i start, well at first i can remember listening to irish music from an early age there was always music in our family if my father wasn't playing or singing or lilting other family members would be singing or playing irish music and also there would be lots of recorded music as my father was a big collector of this. Then when i was seven my father started me on the tinwhistle which i really enjoyed and as time went buy i would meet up with other musicians, i can remember a lovelly lady called betty kelly from ireland who lived in swinton manchester a real ambassadar for old fiddle music i would play the whistle regularly with her, i would also meet up with mike mcgoldrick now and then to play a few tunes with which i really enjoyed. Then my farther started me on the uilleann pipes and then it all started from there as i would meet lots of pipers and other musicians from ireland and england aswell, now i have my own family and i am proud to say that out of my nine chirldren five are playing instruments and that i just have to wait a little bit longer to start the other four on instruments aswell, i have teached my chirldren to play tennor banjo, button accordion, fiddle and two on pipes and i am happy to say that i have past on this tradition to my family myself and i hope that everyone who see's us playing enjoys it aswell because we really enjoy playing music for you all in the irish travellers style thank you.We also have recorded our first album with 11 tracks most with three tunes in each set including reels-jigs-hornpipes-slow airs and with a variety of instruments and combinations there is somthing in this album for everyone ( TO PURCHASE THIS ALBUM CONTACT US NOW BY EMAIL OR BY PERSONAL MESSAGE, ALBUM PRICE INCLUDING WORLD WIDE PACKAGE & POSTAGE IS £12.00 THIS IS A GREAT CHANCE TO OWN YOUR OWN PERSONAL COPY OF THIS ALBUM AS PART OF THE IRISH TRAVELLERS HERITAGE.
