About Me:

When I was a child, my mother told us bedtime stories, Comanche stories about creation, about the antics of sly animals like the Coyote, who always was in trouble with the rest of the animal kingdom. Within those stories, i learned that the Eagle took prayers to our creator, that smoke rising up into the sky also took prayers and that there were other heavenly goings on. The Milky Way was our ancestors going to the land of our creator, far beyond the sun. They were on horseback, pulling their belongings, and they created a dust cloud of stardust. Some day we would join them and travel across the sky, we would see our relatives again, our mothers, our fathers, our sisters and brothers, and our grandparents. As a youngster, I had a vivid imagination of going on that trip across the sky, to the far reaches beyond the sun, to the land of our creator, and it was all so real to me, because I could see the Milky Way, and it all had real meaning.
