One day I was listening to Jean Michel Jarre's album called "Equinoxe" . (1978)
And I just realise that this man brought me into liking electronical music that much. This man is a true genius !
I had the opportunity to be at one of his shows in Brussels (the Atomium) and since then I was hooked , great laser show , great synthesiser music.
This man made music that allways will sound futuristic.
After that I searched for more futuristic music and tumbled into the house scene.
Going out to Belgians best megaclubs like Boccaccio , Illusion , At The Villa , La Rocca , Fuse , Extreme etc.
I got hooked on the Bonzaï label , bought myself several cd's , bought my first mixer , a very simple one , with just 2 faders , and I used a portable cd player and my stereo to make my first mixes (in 1994 I think it was)
Then my best friend at that time told me he knew somebody that selled his cd-players with pitch control , and I bought them.
Since then I mixed very often , made myself a little discotheque with a moonflower and a strobe lol. I allways practiced with that friend and enjoyed , but I moved on , went living in another village , and stopped mixing for a few years ..
I couldn't miss the need to pitchbend and cue etc.. and bought my first turntables , and a new mixer. (the old I had sold)
At this time , I still use one of the turntables , I bought a new one (Akiyama Acura) , and I recently bought a new mixer. A pioneer Djm-400 and a pioneer cdj-800 cd turntable.
I heard about that friend that unfortunatly he passed away , and I felt terrible ,still now , but have to move on. I have been thrue a lot in my life , saw and lived terrible things , and music allways made me feel better. There isn't one day I live without listening to music , it is my drug !
With this channel I want to share some of the good feelings electronical music can bring.
I will not copy music or send any mp3 files , so please don't ask !
If you like the music I play , than you should buy it legaly , just the way I did. Thanks for understanding.
