Over fifty years ago, E.L. Spike Havens understood the need for a product that would enable engine rebuilders to renew the life of worn valve springs. Consequently, he invented, patented, and began manufacturing the VSI®, (Valve Spring Insert) for the automotive aftermarket industry. By 1960, Silver Seal Products was successfully established.

Still family owned and operated by Geff A. Havens, as well as a highly dedicated and experienced team of family members & associates, we continue to serve the automotive aftermarket industry by manufacturing and distributing the truly unique VSI, along with thousands of other quality products and trusted brands.

Committed to continuous development for todayâs ever-changing engine designs, we remain dedicated in providing the finest quality engine parts and machine shop supplies in the industry.
