Shooting your wad: the phrase has a very long history covering most of the time that muskets have been in use up to the present. The wad is a piece of paper put in the muzzle along with the projectile and gun powder. If the shooter is too hasty -- say in a tense battle -- they may not include the projectile. The result is a fire without the intended bullet; only the wad will fly out...a wasted shot. Hence, "shooting your wad" can mean expending your energy fruitlessly.

Ingredients:
2 packages (8-ounce size) refrigerated crescent rolls
1 cup butter
4 firm ripe peaches, peeled and quartered
1 1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 can (12-ounce size) Mountain Dew

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Melt butter and add sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
Unroll crescent roll dough and seperate on the perforations. Place a peach quarter in each triangle. Roll from large end to small. (If desired, after rolling, encase peach with dough by gently stretching and pinching dough together.)

Place rolled dough in a 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Pour or spoon butter mixture over all. Pour Mountain Dew on top. Bake, uncovered, for 45 minutes. Serve as is or with ice cream.
I say in the video that I would cut the butter/sugar mixture. Also, only add a fraction of the can of Mountain Dew.

I googled Mountain Dew recipes and came up with an 'apple dumpling' recipe that included two apples, ONE roll of crescents, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/2 stick margarine (melted) and 6 oz Mountain Dew. SOmething tells me that will give us all less goo.

Ingredients:
1 lb. imitation crab sticks cut diagonally into 1/2 to 1 inch slices
2-3 Tbs. shoyu (soy sauce)
1 Tbs. water
1/2 tsp. sesame oil
1/4 tsp. pepper
pinch sugar
1/2 small onion, thinly sliced

Combine all ingredients except the crab; mix well. Add crab and toss gently. Refrigerate until ready to serve!

It's as easy as 1-2-3. You don't even need traditional soaping supplies, as you will see from this video. Everyday supplies can be used. Just make sure you use fragrance oils specifically for soaping, or else they may be a little too harsh for the skin.
