Honestly, I think this is the record that VH NEEDED to make. "Tattoo" is quite a catchy song, and except for that irritating chorus, it's a very good song too. Shame that Mike isn't there, but Wolfgang holds his own. On the whole, it's pretty damn solid.

It's so damn sad. Adele gets this break; a crack in her voice, and it makes tears spring to my eyes. It's a total one-two sucker punch of downbeat melancholy that makes me long for a time when music this affecting & breathtakingly bittersweet was still being made.

Janis was a total multi-tasker. Whether it was gritty soul, full-tilt boogie rock (see what I did there?), earthy funk or down-and-dirty, gutbucket blues, she did it, and she did it with style, class, soul and a swagger unmatched by today's "music scene". She IS the definition of a total badass.

I agree with Nick and 3811. Sure; it's a derivative, sugary-sweet pop/rocker, but it's theatrical, tasteful and it's got a good dose of atmosphere. Plus, he pours himself into it, and the mood is tangible. I think it's a great little pop-rock ditty.
