Well do u think I like model trains?! I've been a model railroader for close to thirty five years. Modular railroading is the way-ta-fly for me the last fifteen years. I've been friends with the Sipping & Switching Society of North Carolina, they're a great bunch to switch model trains and hang out with. I've sharpen my model railroad skills the past few years by scratchbuilding projects like, rolling stock, turnouts, and structures. I hope you enjoy my videos! Hope to add more as time goes on, problem is I take all my videos at train shows and private operating sessions only. The S&SS of NC has appeared in several national magazines like, Great Model Railroads 2006, Rail Model Journal 2006,Model Railroader 2009 April issue and several other small articles. The Society has enjoyed sharing the layout with the general public for many years!
Thanks for making Sillywesties your favorite!Oh did I mention That my family and I love our silly West Highland White Terriers!

I'm finishing up a project for a customer building Four modules. Two straight modules 36"x96" and Two 8' inside curved modules to make 90 degrees, they have to Two branch line connections to the inside. Very different type modules! I'll be posting several new videos on building light weight modules if they're worth posting on Youtube!

I forgot to include one of my other future plans of adding a rail cam to a flat car of some sort and continue more cool videos of the Sipping & Switching Society of North Carolina modular layout! I'm also in hopes of upgrading my camera and video editing on a NEW PC.But as all things,it takes money to make it happen.Til then enjoy those long trains and cool switching!

Oh I forgot to add one more comment to my last posting. We're doing two train shows back to back.I and several of the gang of S&SSers will be doing our first train show at this location,It's the 7TH annual NC Railroad Expo & Exotic Dancer Convention April 4TH.I have no idea about the Exotic Dancer,so don't ask! Hopefully I'll get a chance to take some more video at this show too,but MUCH smaller layout!
Speaking of Hickory,North Carolina...a couple years ago they aired on one of the major networks,a comic contest show with this guy ( can't remember the show or his name, shows you how important that was!) from Hickory poking fun at family, friends, and of coarse himself.I'm sure you guessed it.Top of the list, the way they talk down in the South! I'll leave it at that guys, because the other version would have made some people mad.
Til next time,
Ken
