Hippie-wannabe who was raised in a small town in Northern California in the 60's, which I don't remember cuz I was too young, & the 70's, which I mostly remember because I'm a light-weight & couldn't handle the drug-scene that was going on around me in high school. I moved out from home & moved in with some wonderful vietnam vet guys at age 17 who were living in some old mining cabins in the Sierra Nevadas. They turned me on to the 60's hippie scene... truth-seeking, authority-questioning... that kind of thing... & I have sought 'the truth' ever since, finding tasty little tidbits here and there, & though I'd love to KNOW, I'm satisfied with at least the absence of lies.. I raised two beautiful boys, in their 30's now & I'm raising my third child, a grandson who's 12 .. I have fibromyalgia which flares and goes into remission from time to time so battle constant pain & fatigue, but my spirit is untouched & health. I love to love and be loved, and I can't stand mind games and con artists. I'm empathic in a way that I feel deeply whatever is going on around me, which sucks in a way because I'm too sensitive & get my feelings hurt far easier than I probably should, but I don't know how to change that. It's probably my biggest flaw & the biggest barrier between me & those I love.... Watching giggling babies & silly kitten videos bring me back to one of my favorite realities ... love, tenderness & humor in a background of innocence. But I'm not all happyhappyjoyjoy. Truth-seeking not only includes goodness & love, but also human suffering, & although it is lamentable, it is also just as valuable. I've been to births & I've been to deaths, & they really aren't that different, & it is an honor to be present for the ushering in & out of human souls.
