But that's just my goal...
I grew up with my two parents, and we've come from a long series of musical families. For instance, my mom is a general music teacher at an elementary school, and she used to be a piano teacher for about 15 years. My father plays the french horn (a brass instrument similar to a trumpet) professionally in several orchestras across the united states, and he used to tour internationally. But now, he mainly just plays with the Boston Ballad. I have been playing the piano ever since I was four years old. My mom made me take the lessons from her. Even though I wasn't interested in the Piano at all, I was forced to take them. When my mom stopped being a piano teacher to become a general music teacher in the schools, I quit, but two years later I learned I actually enjoyed playing the piano. I then took up jazz piano lessons, and I've been playing ever since. I mainly like jazz because it's not so strict about playing what's on the page; you can improvise. I hate reading music from the page. Ever since I started taking the piano I've always prefered playing by ear. This is what inspires me to make music. I love the sound of notes all blended together, and I find it intriguing that there's so many chords that you can use in different orders, and which ones I need to use to make a solid bass line for a beat. Besides piano, I also play the drums... but that isn't so serious.
