About this user

When I started counseling people several years ago, it broke my heart to see how many lives were disrupted by problems related to emotions and thinking and behaviors. I have always believed, deep inside that no matter how difficult things are, people have the tools they need to turn things around. They often just need a little help.

I decided I wanted to be the kind of person who could provide that help. I wanted to learn ways to help people learn about themselves in a way that would enable them to feel good about life.

I became the kind of therapist who believes that the way were raised has a role to play in the difficulties we may face. But, I also believe that we can be more than our childhood experiences and that focusing on the here and now is the best way to make that happen. And while I enjoy working with adults, I have a big soft spot in my heart for adolescents.
