Like you know already my name is Jake and im sixteen years old and I am a sophomore at Elder high school. I'm really into music especially metal so about two years ago i decided to form a band with my friends.

At the time i had just started to learn how to play the guitar so i was having a hard time playing simple songs like smells like teen spirit yeah thats right just four power chords. We started off doing covers of bands like Nirvana, Papa Roach, and Disturbed. After a while we all started listening to Heavier music. I really got into bands like Avenged Sevenfold and Bullet for my Valentine. So inturn my band started covering heavier songs.

After a while the drummer and bassist joined another band and basically left Me and my buddy Drew (the other guitarist from the band) out to dry. This pissed me cus' they did this very out of the blue and it never seemed like they had a big enough problem with us that they would leave us. So Drew and I found another drummer but he didn't work out. Eventually our old drummer came back to us and we had a couple of practices together. Alas though he left again and even back stabbed the band he left us for.

*update* We have chris henkel again he has inmproved imensly and he and i started recording our songs in his garage. We also have a singer and a screamer Danny (screamer) and Savannah (singer), However, we still need to find a bassist.

Well thats enough of that story now about me. I've been playing guitar for two years and I sound like I've been playing for longer cus' of the five years of piano playing. I started taking drum lessons at the end of the 2009 summer. My dream is to be in a popular metal band and just write and play music for a living. My favorite genre of music is Melodic metalcore. My favorite bands are: Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet for my valentine, The human Abstract, Protest the hero, Trivium, Children of Bodom, In Flames, Unearth, and Pantera.

The gear i have is:

An Ibanez RG4EX1 electric guitar i don't think they make this anymore

A Lyon (by Washburn) LI15 electric guitar

a Raven RG 100 amp (100 watts of bad ass!)

a Squire Acoustic guitar.

And my buddy's old drum set (needs a new crash and high hat though)
