I'm Gracie Schram and I'm 12 years old. I love to sing. My favorite hobby is singing. I write a song all at once. I hear the music and the words and I have it imagined in my mind. I like to write poetry and the words just come to me. I feel closer to God when I sing.
I was inspired to create a CD when I was 10. The senior pastor at my church (Church of the Resurrection) took a mission trip to Africa and I watched the sermon series about what they saw and did while they were there. I wanted to do something to help and decided to record my songs onto a CD and sell them to raise money for kids in Africa. The CD has six of my songs on it and was really fun to create! My hope was to raise enough money to build a fish pond for a village like the one I saw in the videos. So far I have donated money for two fish ponds and I am currently building an orphan home in Haiti! I have raised over $18,000 so far! I'm excited to see where God will take this project next!
I called the CD showers from God because I usually write my songs in the shower!
