God i used to play this to DEATH ... mixing it to "Positive Education" by Slam.... Was there a slightly remixed (faster) version that held the high strings before the breakdown? or is my memory playing tricks on me?

Their song "Racist Friend" is as relevant now as it was 30 years ago - hate wears the fashions of time, but underneath this seasons colours... hate is still hate... "if you have a racist friend, now is the time now is the time, for your friendship to end"....

@sunnyb92 - he was indeed, wearing a less than fetching purple mohair jumper on a very warm evening (i was stood in front of him)! amazing gig - possibly the best one ive ever been to,,,, Thank you for posting this.... NEVER thought i'd be able to re-live that evening....

@mountainenergei1 - i was there too, stood behind Vince Clarke who was wearing the most hideous Purple Mohair jumper i've ever witnessed! AMAZING gig though.... do you remember there was so much "will they, wont they?" surrounding it?

@sakaspuds - yeah i often wonder that.... he used DJ every Tuesday (and later, Friday) nights at The Fan Club in Leicester around 1991 into early '92 - playing pretty much similar to what he did on the radio. Nice guy too - played my demo a couple of times on the show.

Yep... Coldcut's Eric B & Rakim "Paid In Full" remix - for years they wouldn't reveal where that break was from!

oh PS - Kneehigh - can you post here the little loop of the "If the laws unjust..." film that was playing in the entrance to the asylum... really liked the stark images. Cheers.
