This reminds me when I was just a teen and babysitting, sneaking and playing their records..while the baby was sleep....we did a lot of necking back then...and that was fine with me..so romantic

Can you imagine being14 years old going outside in your inner city community..and the record shop blasting this and you have to stop in your tracks stand on the street and groove..stayed outside until the street lights came...ate dinner went to my room and sang it until I went to sleep.

We were so blessed to have them perform at our prom in 1970 before we graduated from Eastside High School

This came out just as I was about to go to high school. When we graduated they played it to death at the graduation parties we went to....sooooooooooooooomuch fun

@theperfecthuman I think it was 1965 because I was about 13 years old and we had a record shop in our neighborhood and he would play all the hits with a loud speaker

blasting off the side of the building..it was awesome.

@Smook2002 I used to listen to this in my room when I was a teen in the 60's. We had a record shop in my neighborhood in Paterson, NJ and he used to play them with a loud speaker outside so we could dance on the streets.

@368685 I remember this and the boys coming to school dressed like they were high class business men..don't forge tthe cashmere coats with the hats to match...some fine men.

@billchew450 I used to listen to this in my room on my stereo for hours and just dance...go to socials in houses and basements where people were too cool to shoot someone....so we had so much fun.I thank God I grew up in this era.,..We didn't even realize how things would be different.

@love2surf505 I know what this person means...we grew up in a time when we appreciated so many things around us..and we sang this song for our Girls Glee Club spring concert when I was about 14 years old in our highschool freshman year...we were so sophisticated then...I was so blessed to be born...

@Dvora64 No Sir...this was a popular song by Burt Bacharach.......It sounds religious because the lyrics of today....they don't have a lot of substance...so that's probably why someone would think that.

This was great listening...Dionne and Burt OMG....I remember being a teenager and loving this music....It was Classy all the way...and we wanted to be Classy.

I got to see this phenomenal talent....I couldn't believe how he would leave the stage and come right back on que...this is intoxicating entertainment. It was great sitting close to the stage at the Bottom Line in NYC. I miss those days.
