This idea is incorrect. A bank run meant something when money was a limited commodity like gold. A fiat currency makes a bank run meaningless.

The most common response people have when they can't refute the ideas of a speaker they disagree with is to attack the speaker.
Since you can't argue the points, your attack response is essentially a validation of them.

Why do you assume that people are stupid? If an employer offers a job for so little money that it only covers the cost of getting to work, he is not going to find any takers for the job. If the job is worth it to someone who is looking for a job, then they take it. If not, they don...

I spend a lot of time thinking about things.I have a constant stream of ideas about all kinds of stuff.
I like to have philosophical discussions about government, law, edvcation, technology, social behavior, human interface design, life, the universe, and just about anything else.
I like to solve problems.
I like music. I'm partial to rock, pop, ambient groove, and anything with good acoustic guitar. I listen to streaming radio like pandora and somafm a lot.
I like animals and kids, and most of them like me too.
I am brutally honest with myself, and sometimes with others if I think they need a dose of reality.
I spend most of my time alone, and only rarely crave the company of others. I do like people, I just have very little in common with most of them.
I am very level headed. I'm not shocked or surprised by much because just about everything imaginable is in my realm of possibility.
I'm older than I look.
I have no tattoos.
I have a lot of books, mostly philosophical or technology related. I've read most of them.
Oh yeah, and I find humor in just about everything.
Is this enough? Strange profile, eh? Is that why I'm single?
