I understand that not everybody is excited about covers of their favourite bands (myself included, in most cases).

But calling someone, who was as only Israeli ever nominated for Grammy and was admired by many famous musicians "a terrible singer" is just ridiculous.

It is still cool after the years ! When I was a kid I missed the oppurtunity to see them alive when they performed this routine in Prague. Now I am very sorry :-(

The website has its English version now. It is not so rich as its Hebrew version, there are no translation of her interview etc. but I guess it can satisfied English speakers....

Ofra´s parents came to Israel in 1944. When operation "Magic carpet" happened, they were already settled in Israel. In November 1995 she was invited to Yemen by Yemeni goverment and was supposed to sing there. But because of assasination of Yichak Rabin , this journey to Yemen ...

It is very complicated story and still kind of mystery in some parts. But is seems, she did not die because of AIDS itself but because of bad treatment (bad combination of drugs against HIV etc.)
