Exactly, you admittedly don't even understand the definition of the word "atheist", and yet you think you can speak intelligently on the topic? Atheism is a statement about belief -- in this case, a lack of belief in deities -- nothing more, nothing less. No one is born believing in God, whether or not God exists. We're all born atheists. It's very simple.

LOL Thanks for posting your unsolicited commentary on my page (sarcasm). Internet evangelism, eh? ;) Atheism is simply having a lack of belief in deities. People are not born believing in God, anymore than they are born believing in Santa Claus, or in the theory of relativity, or any other concept or entity that you can think of. Somewhere down the line, somebody TOLD you that God exists, and either explained the concept to you, or indoctrinated you to the concept. You weren't born with this belief. No one is. We're all born without a belief in a God or Gods, therefore we are ALL born atheist.

Comments noted.You must excuse my use of the word 'you' in my comments, it's a British thing.It means 'the collective us, we or you' we use it quite naturally here without offence, it's a quirk of our grammatically twisted language.Personal beliefs and freedom of thought are unarguable rights and to me as a Humanist they are at the core of human values.I see you are fortunate to have lived a productive life, and the air/sea rescue is an invaluable service.
