Just to clarify, this is not the original studio version but rather a re-recorded version that Neil recorded in the mid 70's. His original version was recorded around the late 60's. It is rare to find that version nowadays but much preferable imho to this updated one.
My mom loved this group in the 60's and so did I as a 6 year old. Innocent and melodic songs. The birds chirped happily to these and the sun smiled down on us all. I miss those days.
I happened to recognize co-writer Larry Weiss' name. 6 years later he would write Glen Campbell's signature hit 'Rhinestone Cowboy'. The arrangement of this song sounds very similar ti what would become 'Rhinestone Cowboy'.
