As for my avatar, I've been a fan of Star Trek since I was 3 years old. I grew up with the Original Series and TNG, but my favorite will always be Deep Space Nine. Ben Sisko is my personal hero. That's why I'd rather roll over and die before I let a no-talent, second-rate director like JJ Abrams or ego-stroking jerks like Kurtzman and Orci disrespect Star Trek's legacy with their film. So-called fans only love the film because it caters to what they thought Star Trek is about. Real fans who stuck around for the last 45 years know better. We're not "dickheads" or "old farts" or even "trekkies" like the NuTrek fans call us and harass us over. We're Star Trek FANS, not "fanboys", and we won't rest or stop until we get a well-written story, well-developed characters, and a project that gives the franchise the respect and diginity we willing to fight for. We'll protect the legacy of Star Trek anyway we can.
