One of the finest songs of all-time.

I admit a bias against all-woman groups because the tone tends to be more shrill due to most of the voices being in higher registers. That said, when this group was on, they were really on. I felt they did waver, technically, too often to stay in the competition at this point.

Ah.....terrific song. Written by Kimberly Rew who was in the legendary Brit-band, The Soft Boys with Robyn Hitchcock. After they splintered, Rew went on to co-found a popular, female fronted band that had an enormous hit in the early 80"s. Any guesses who?

@etreemuffinman Sounds like the low E string is a bit out of tune but, no...certainly not seriously out of tune.

Showing my age here, but there is a lot of Ronnie Spector in this girl's voice. Her tone is great. her pitch sometimes dips a bit when singing with full vibrato.....you could really hear it in the final audition vids with full band.She will be fine. Some were quite weak and, despite the judges "Straw Man" assertions about Katie's improvement, she REALLY wasn't very good. Her improvement consisted of getting loud...

Yeah...this beatboxer (another Lister brother) doesn't hold a candle to Jon McLemore. Kind of neutered the band.

Second best vocalist, easily. Plus, David's own music is much better than Marc's IMO.

@mercuryforeva Hadn't heard of Gary Mullen so I youtubed a couple of his vids. Personally, I'd take Martel any day of the week. His mimicry is more natural....organic. Mullen tries way too hard....... It's really "Vegas-y". Part of the reason I like Martel is he sounds this way on his own records...

I would agree that you have a more soulful voice than Marc Martel does. But he is spot on, pitch wise. Frankly, soulful isn't a word I would have used for Freddie either. But you are in the running, in my estimation.
