I admit a bias against all-woman groups because the tone tends to be more shrill due to most of the voices being in higher registers. That said, when this group was on, they were really on. I felt they did waver, technically, too often to stay in the competition at this point.

I was there! Unfortunately, I was behind the eaves in the nosebleed section where there was a wicked reverb effect going on for the whole concert. @oxJeanellexo I think any kid would be disappointed, but there are definitely levels that indicate something might be amiss in their expectations. Ah.....terrific song. Written by Kimberly Rew who was in the legendary Brit-band, The Soft Boys with Robyn Hitchcock. After they splintered, Rew went on to co-found a popular, female fronted band that had an enormous hit in the early 80"s. Any guesses who?

I would agree that you have a more soulful voice than Marc Martel does. But he is spot on, pitch wise. Frankly, soulful isn't a word I would have used for Freddie either. But you are in the running, in my estimation.
Seriously......one of the greatest songs ever written. Lyrically emotional, intelligent, truthful and one of the most majestic, yet accessible, melodies in creation. Friggin' masterpiece!
