Hoping to spread some fun, education and enlightenment.

I can be contacted at taralhasa@sbcglobal.net
About Me:

I love spinning topical news into comedy using celebrity characters and making up my own characters. I play a wide range of characters which include Sarah Palin, Britney Spears Lindsay Lohan, Dinah Lohan, Miley Cyrus, Kim Kardashian, Christiane Amanpour, Marilyn Monroe, Princess Diana and Star Wars Slave Girl Princess Leia.

I'm a giant fan of Comedy Artists ranging from Johnny Carson, Mel Brooks, Steve Martin, Mort Saul and Eddie Murphy to Tracy Ullman, Carol Burnet, Cher, Lilly Tomlin and Tina Fey. One of my newest faves is SNL's Kristen Wig who does spot on impersonations of Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi and Suze Orman.

Please know that if you e-mail me I will be unable to respond to most messages because I have a health condition that makes it extremely painful for me to type. So please do not take it personally if I can't respond. Thanks for understanding. Peace.

As a producer my mission is to combine education and entertainment to empower, inform, uplift and enlighten. I love mentoring film makers, some of them have gone on to receive Emmy and Academy Award nominations...I really get a big kick out of seeing others succeed at reaching their dreams.

One of my fun creative outlets is designing jewelry. I love recycling vintage or antique pieces to create unique one of a kind necklaces. I look at it as creating sacred talismans. It has been an honor to design for some of the most celebrated women in the world...including Academy Award winners and even a Nobel Peace Prize Winner.

I've been an environmental advocate since I was a kid. It was my love for the environment and social justice issues that first got me interested in making films. While I was still in high school I made a 45 minute documentary film which helped to shed some light on a march that was being threatened behind my school. Along with Barbara Boxer and others we helped save the marsh from developers.

I went on to help produce television and film projects that I believe in.

In 1980 I had the great honor of being the head of development for the largest educational repertory company in the United States (a multiple Emmy Award winning company for their co-productions with PBS's KCET.)

After that I moved to L.A. and spent an exciting sabbatical as the personal chef to the former president of the American Restaurant Association and had a blast cooking for our guests which ranged from the greatest chefs of Europe to the biggest stars. What fun for a little kid like me.

Then with the encouragement from my neighbor and friend, Johnny Carson, I set out to create my own production company.

In my free time I enjoyed supporting environmental organizations like Kid's F.A.C.E. Both Al Gore (who at the time was A U.S. senator from Tennessee) and I were on the board of Kid's F.A.C.E. which was the largest environmental organization for kids on the planet at the time.

Later in 1991 I co-created with my former mate, Fred Segal and his son Michael, the nations first ecology department store

I've given out over 30,000 "Practice Random Kindness and Senseless Acts Of Beauty" bumper stickers all over the world since 1991.

I love mentoring writers and film makers who have something important to contribute to society.

Michael Jackson was a perfectionist when it came to his art. Today Jackson must be rolling over in his grave listening to the just released version of his song, "This Is It". The song was written by Michael Jackson and Paul Anka back in 1983. Anka gave it to Safire to record as a single called, "I Never Heard". Sony literally "Dug Up" a recording of Michael Jackson recording the song with just a piano in the background and added more musical tracks with additional instruments. The new release is a great example of how greedy corporations and promoters who drove him to his death are benefiting off of his death. At least it gives me a little bit of comfort knowing that a percentage of the profits from this new (old) song will be going to his children ... and I have confidence in his children to use their gifts to make this world a better place.
