"With the implosion of French Whisperers and the untimely death of Mig Truckson, Amelia Amelia and Max Zaidwell decided to forget all they knew about post-popular marimba and begin anew. Zaidwell contacted his old army buddy, Specialist Steve Rye-Dell, and asked him to give up a lucrative contract with the Spanish government and return to his roots as a big daddy musician. At first reluctant, Specialist Rye-Dell eventually agreed as long as his life partner and famed drums-as-a-second-language teacher, Todd Bixby, was included. Through two divorces and one wrongful imprisonment, Shapers beat the odds to become one of the most promising local bands to hit the scene since 1997."
