My Struggle, I Guess it's LYME!
I have been ill since the birth of my daughter (March 2007) and I am in the fight of my life to find out why I am ill, and how to get my health back. I am currently being tested for Lyme disease which is believed to be what I am suffering from.
I am a 25 year old mom of two. My son has lyme disease and is being treated with antibiotics for his lyme and co- infections. Michael (my son) has said he does NOT want to be on youtube, so maybe when he is ready he will come on and talk about how Lyme disease has effected him. He is 11 years old, so I understand him not being ready to talk about it in an open forum yet. My daughter (Rayn) is 1 year old. She is a joy and blessing and so smart. I have the best man a girl could have and I dont know where I would be without him. He litterly takes care of me everyday. He still makes me feel beautiful and special throughout this trying time. He has now seen me at my best and worst and has stuck by my side. I am one LUCKY girl!!
I added some videos of past performances I have done. I want people to not only see the struggle I am going through now in my life with being ill. I also want people to see that I had a very normal life before this and Pursued my passion of acting and performing since I was a little girl.
I love the stage, but I also admire film work. I have been involved in a few independent films. One of which was premiered at a theatre in my hometown. I was 19 when I did the film, and am very proud of it. I was bitten by the theatre bug at about 12 and the film bug at about 15. Than I was bitten by a BAD bug that has taken my dreams away from me. I am not sure at what age that BAD bug bit me, but I think I have an idea. Dont laugh people, but when I saw the movie TITANIC...I KNEW that film acting, as much as I loved the stage, was what I wanted to pursue. That movie changed my life and dreams. I went to see that movie 7 times while in the movie theatre. I was mezmorized, and from that day on I was determined to become a film actress. At the age of 19 a local film maker (Robert Manuels) helped start making my dreams a reality when he cast me as his leading lady in his independent film "Broken Love". I have done 3 films with him and I am so grateful that I got to experience being on film, and working on a film before I became sick.
I can only hope that one day, I will be able to pursue my passion and dreams again, AND be the healthy, active mommy I so crave.
