Just as a seedling in the ground
feels the touch of melting snow
and hears the Master's voice
when it is time to grow,
I feel His power flow
to the roots of my soul.
As the sun sings through
the barren branches
of a sleeping oak tree,
I hear His love calling me.
Wake up! Wake up!
My Dearest One!
Let us run with the rays
of the morning sun.
It is daybreak in dreamland.
Oh, praise the King of Kings.
It really is true.

In December 2004, when I visited my ailing mother at her country home in Burgessville, Ontario, my camera was drawn to an early morning sunrise that was casting shadows on the newly fallen snow.
