I am a 28 year-old French girl I'm an English teacher in my country and fighting against weight.

I have had 2 lapbands which have not worked:
-The 1st: January 2004, lost 24 kg (53 lbs) and had health problems, gained 10 kilos back (22 lbs)
-met my 2nd surgeon who identified the problem, untightened the lapband and gained 20 (44 lbs) more kilos back by June 08
-2nd lapband: 1st one removed and replaced by 2nd one in June 2008.
-was perfectly adjusted, tightened to its maximum, no effect on the quantities I was able to eat.

I gained 20 kgs (44 lbs) back in less than a year, from June 08 to May 09.

-27th May 2009: 2nd lapband removed and I requested a gastric bypass.

-I need to lose 18 kilos (40 lbs) = be below BMI 50, to get gastric by pass done.

-6th October 2009: went back to the second surgeon, and we decided to go for a vertical sleeve gastrectomy in December 2009.

-15th December 2009: Sleeve gastrectomized!!

-14th August 2011: lost 23 lbs with VSG (well, lost 55, but gained 32 back)...

I've lost some weight during the first 6 months after I had the VSG, because of a drastic diet.
I stopped dieting in July 2010, and slowly gained back half the weight I had lost.

-9th August 2011: back to dieting, had gained back 40 lbs (of the 55 I had lost), so having a VSG for a total loss of 15 lbs was unacceptable for me.

I will probably get a Duodenal Switch in a few months.

Current weight: 285 lbs.
