Shahar Choir is an Israeli classical choir. We are operating in the town of Rehovot but we come from all around the country. Over the years the choir has acquired a unique place in the Israeli choir scene for the young age of the singers (18-35) and the fresh attitude that the choir conductor, Gila Brill, is bringing to the interpretation of many musical pieces. We do a lot of a-cappella music, and take part in larger projects with various instrumental groups and soloists. Our repertoir is quite diverse however we are mostly fond of Baroque and early music on one hand and contemporary music on the other.
Recently we were very proud to have won second place in Israel's Abu-Gosh choir contest and also have performed twice in Mozart's requiem (with organ accompaniment).
