Yes, you can play the game in Japanese with English subtitles. I also noticed that the opening song that first plays when you begin Episode 1 has Japanese lyrics that seem to be missing in the English version so that's a minor factor in favor of the Japanese dub.

This is honestly a pretty fair and accurate review in my opinion. The game really is kind of on the short side with not as much gameplay as you'd expect. If you watch the full playthrough that has been done already and uploaded on this site, this will become quite clear.

Before I saw this I never thought I'd see the day a video game would depict a space battle between a divine armada of holy spaceships and an alien whale the size of a planet that spits fricking laser beams.

I am very pleased to be proven wrong.

@TheGreatSeraphim Manji is another name for the symbol known as the swastika. What it's called and how it's pronounced are two different things. Since vocal translators probably don't look at the context something is used in, it used the default name for it.
