The dog(s) you see in these video's are very much the love of our lives.Sweet Pea, Staffordshire Terrier: She was found abandoned on on the streets of Detroit, sick and emaciated. Due to her condition, she was extremely submissive coming into our home. After she gained her strength, she became very dog aggressive. Knowing the severity of the problem and the liabilities that go along with owning a bully breed, we hired a trainer. After 6 weeks of aggressive behavioral modification, today, she is a completely different dog. We will all live happily and safely ever after. (She lives with her "dad")
Bug, Boston Terrier: Also found wandering the streets as a 6 month old puppy has a story of fate for coming into my life. I discovered him while waiting for my application to be approved for a local Boston Terrier Rescue. My love for the breed started back when I was just a child (~5 y/o). A friend of the family owned one and it was the most energetic and cutest thing I had ever seen. I said that I wanted one when I grew up and because of their buggy eyes, his name was going to be Bug.
After a month of waiting for approval, I was becoming impatient, however not really seeing a Boston that fit me. One day, during my daily search routine on www.petfinder.com, I discovered a 6 m/o, potty trained, neutered, UTD on all of his shots, micro-chipped and his name was BUG! Later that same day, I was approved though the local rescue. Had the rescue called be before that day, I would have adopted a different dog. Bug was a crazy puppy, knowing no manners when I brought him home, and today, he is an exceptional example of the breed. I love him more than anything that has walked this earth. When I'm asked the (stupid) question, "Why are you still single?" I reply with a smile, "If I find a man as excited to see me come home as my dog, I will marry him".
I work for Camp Bow Wow, a doggy boarding/daycare and am also a student in a dietetics program. My love for dogs is apart of my personality and passion in life. I could not be more blessed.
