@Standard420247 Yes they are playing. The song is in an open tuning, which is why John Rzeznik removes his left hand from the neck of the guitar at times. They've gotten a bad name after all of their ballads became radio hits, but they were a hard-working traveling band--definitely not lip synche...

Yeah, tommykUD, when you get tossed around like a ragdoll, and the couple of punches you do land don't even slow the other guy down, and you end up ducking and running away, you have lost the fight.

I love this guy in every one of these videos. If there were an actual actor portraying this guy's sense of despair, he could not get it across nearly as well.
