About Video diary thru spinal fusion
I hope to describe my experience with having spinal surgery: lumbar fusion at L5-S1, and to shed light on the struggle in obtaining medical care in the Work Comp system.
My injury was on 10/1/08, and I am finally having surgery almost 2 years later on 9/16/10. I had no idea what people went through trying to get medical care.
I lost my job as a Registered Nurse in a very prominent hospital as my injury was during my probationary period. I lost my income, my ability to work, my independence, nearly my home, and nearly my sanity. (Not to mention the toll that this has taken on my son, as I am a single Mother).
I'm hoping to share my experience, strength and hope, so that others may benefit from hearing my story. Thanks for tuning in. Sincerely, Susie
