About Me:
He first discovered music when his parents bought him a drum set at the age 4 and was very good at it his parents then knew he had talent in music. As he got older at the age of 7 in 2nd grade, he wrote his first rhymes and took it serious since then. He used to record his music on cassette tapes and tried to sell them to the people around his neighborhood. Later at the age of 13, he first experienced his music in a real studio, and the first record he made was aired on Syracuse's radio station "z 89". When he attended Middle school, he used to always compete in rap battles with other students in lunch, most of the time he would win. As a class project on "Romeo & Juliet", he wrote a rhyme based on the story and was labeled the 8th grade rap star.
Later in High school he was in several music groups which didn't really work out. Everyday after school he attended school program "School Of The Harts" which was based on music, acting, and filming, but couldn't do the privileges until his school work was finished. In the year 2007, he dropped two mixtapes from the help of his father titled "Hood Joints 2007 part 1 & 2". J-Serius was focused on his music so much that he realized his grades were not to the point of graduating. He sat music to the side to focus on his school work and luckily he graduated in 2009.After graduating he began working on music again with working a part time job on a side. J-Serius released a mixtape titled "I'm So Serius" on September 11, 2010. He performed in his local area at places such as Funk N Waffles "Open mic" on Wednesday nights. J-Serius met up with Syracuse's legendary jazz band "The Blacklites". He featured on their remix "Lookin' For Love" which he had made the song a hit. It appeared on Syracuse's "Power 620" that made the The Blacklites appear on the radio for the first time. On August 4, 2011 Him and The Blacklites performed the hit song in their local area with over 1,000 people that attended. A few weeks after on August 24, 2011 he had his first interview in NYC with Ms. Drama.
He is currently making music and doing shows, he highly believes that hard work pays off and to keep the faith in God.
