I discovered (for myself, I mean) the music of John McLaughlin when I read Ginger Baker's (born in Lewisham, London) autobiography "Hellraiser". I have two boys 10yo & 6yo who both want to play the drums. Of course, Billy Cobham plays for the Mahavishnu Orchestra too!!

Thanks for this. I'm actually a Karateka (Japan Karate Association - England). We practice Shotokan Karate. We have been told by our Sensei that Aikido is a good complement for Karate. Karate has the striking techniques and Aikido is more about take-downs and grappling.
