Franco Pisciotta was born into a musical family.He began his musical studies at an early age under the guidance of his father.He studied the double bass, composing and conducting at the Conservatory , graduating in 1980. He has since been working with the "Maggio Musicale Fiorentino" orchestra, and as a music teacher at the "Luigi Cherubini" Conservatory of music in Florence, Italy.
At the same time he has continued improving his conducting skills under the guidance of Franco Ferrara and Antal Dorati. He has composed numerous symphonies and chamber music, which have been performed in well known musical institutions.
