As a medically retired Fire Captain, Training Officer, Fire Investigator, Fire Prevention Officer and Hazardous Materials Specialist, the events of 911 affected me in ways few outside the fire service understand.
In the moments of extreme STRESS we are only able to fully comprehend and react to what our minds are 'prepared' to process. Emergency personnel are TRAINED to break this natural 'tunnel vision' reaction to interact more effectively during emergency incidents.
The morning of 911 was no different! I EXPERIENCED the SAME FIVE (5) airplane crashes along with many other FIRSTS in HISTORY! ...juat as you did!
IGNORANCE plays an incredible role in the indoctrinated minds of the masses! Literally no FDNY fire fighter questioned entering 1300 feet BELOW the fire floors KNOWING only the TOP building of the three (3) separately stacked buildings were involved! WTC 1 & 2 comprised of six (6) separate buildings!
My training and experience forced me to swallow this RED PILL!
