Ascendent Base: A Star Wars RPG sim in Second Life.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away . . . 

Over 7,000 years BBY, a mysterious technologically advanced species built the Iokath Sphere to colonize and create technological marvels. 

Civil war broke out. Their creations took over and no organic sentient life was left alive. 

Over 300 years ABY, Jedi from the Kalway Order discovered a mysterious alien planet in the Unknown Regions. The archeological evidence shows that this planet is the homeworld for the Iokath species.

An abandoned space station was in orbit. After negotiation with the sentient droid maintaining the station, the KOJ was granted jurisdiction of the station. 

Renamed Ascendent Station, it became a place of commerce, diplomacy, and scientific research. It became a shining beacon of hope.
