A stunning Walker performance, I couldn't get enough of this when I first bought 'Scott (1)'. much credit goes to Wally Stott for those orchestral arrangements. Perfection, thanks for posting.

Rod Steiger almost..almost stopped chewing his gum. Now that means some shock is going on right there. I remember watching this as a kid. Once seen, never forgotten and for all the right reasons. Real cinema.

Still the best version of this wonderful composition. Bley puts more soul in this one performance than Oscar Peterson put into entire albums.

@ThinYoghurt1 A 'cockney' would never use the word 'shower' (except in a personal hygiene context). It's a reference to Terry-Thomas, a great British comedy character actor of the 50's and 60's, he played upper-class 'toffs' in Boulting Brothers comedy films. The whole skit is a commentary on the...

Definitely prefer 'fucker'. Hauer gets the timing and intonation perfectly. Plus you don't get to be a father without fucking. Deeply ironic since Batty's existence was not engendered by conventional sexual re-production. This begs the question 'who are Tyrell's biological offspring (if any)?' It...

A big fat MEH.! Fake nostalgia with smiley happy people all there to sell you a .....car.
Music really stinks, generic shoegazer shit custom made for commercials like this, it reeks of 'sell-out'.
Scott reaches a state of grace here that few other performers can even dream of. The song, the singer, it's close to perfection. Worthy of Chagall's art without question. I'm not religious but I feel there is a distinctly redemptive message here.
