Hello, everyone. I started my WLS journey in September 2010. I had everything ready for insurance submission in December 2010. I was approved for surgery on January 14, 2011 and my surgery was scheduled for Feb. 17!!! I, like so many others, am tired of being a slave to food and my body is breaking down. I've always been a very active person and with bad knees and a bad back I only imagine my weight getting worse and worse.

I will be posting videos throughout this journey. I am eager to tap into this amazing support system on youtube. I will be sharing the good and bad related to my journey.

- 6/10 - Older brother gets LapBand surgery (put the thought in my head)
- 9/10 - Made a firm decision to seek WLS for myself - Highest weight - 311
- 9/22&28/10 - attended WLS info sessions at 2 different hospitals
- 11/1/10 - First surgical consult with Dr. Schweitzer - It's the VSG for me baby!!
- 11/22/10 - Psych evaluation
- 1/14/11 - Approved!!!
- 1/28/11 - Surgery scheduled for Feb. 17!!
- 2/17/11 - Surgery day
