Secret Society was created in January of 2009, but seperately, both members of the band have been writing and recording music on their own. When they realized that two was obviously better then one, they decided creating a group was a perfect way to put their talents together. The name "Secret Society" was established after Lauren, the pianist, guitarist, and drummer for the band saw a book entitled, "The President's Secret Societies" and the name stuck.
