Just to let people know, both Chris Nolan and Chris Bale have CONFIRMED this IS the LAST Batman movie they will make. But man will there be a lot of pressure on the next director who wants to make a Batman movie.

@iloveicarly84 Actually no. Christopher Nolan said in an interview that there was never any intention to have the Joker return for the third movie even when they wrote the script. The dialogue between the two of them was all they needed to fully develop the chemistry between Batman and The Joker....
