Cannabis can save the world
Marijuana should be regulated just like alcohol and tobacco for medical and responsible adult recreational, and agricultural, uses.
Medical uses: pain relief, muscle spasms, insomnia, anxiety, anorexia, glaucoma, menstrual cramps, just to name a few.
Recreationally, marijuana is superior to alcohol because there is no hangover, no danger of overdose, and it is not physically addictive. Also, marijuana makes people who get violent and combative while drunk, peaceful and calm while high. Women in the Temperance movement actually advocated alcoholics replacing alcohol with "hasheesh" because they understood its calming effects.
Marijuana can replace tobacco, as smoking marijuana does not kill you.
Marijuana does not kill brain cells, or ambition.
George Washington grew hemp. Our own government actually required farmers to grow hemp.
Before marijuana was made illegal, there were hasheesh parlors all over the U.S. In NYC alone, there were over 500.

We can stop cutting down centuries old forests to make paper, and instead use hemp, which reaches maturity within months. Hemp can also be used as fuel as biodiesel or ethanol. Plastic can be made from hemp instead of fossil fuel. All unhealthy synthetic fibers in clothes can be replaced with hemp.
What industries would lose money if marijuana was re-legalized?
Big Pharma, Big Alcohol, Big Tobacco, the lumber and paper industries, Big Oil, plastic and synthetic fiber industries, the prison industry, and the law enforcement industry.
The War on Drugs is a War on the American people, they don't kill us, but they take our money, throw us in prison, and destroy our reputations and livelihoods.
