same here but only Lvl 1 or 2 so not sure what sex they are yet, als have african nymphs, spiny lvl 4 n marble male adult...love the adult budwings n hope can see mine to through to adult hood from this early stage..

fantastic mantid, I like it....got 2 budwings myself , 5 african nymphs, a spiny flower, and a marble mantis but ill look out for this speices, like to get one some time..

i agree.. that things a monster but if it had the same body mass as the mantis it would get fucked.

and yes gjj101 humans are horrible ...get used to it.. not that I applaud bugs killing each other in a disturbing yet slightly amusing gladiator arena..but it would be intresting to find out if one bug was overall "THE BEST" predator or most efficent hunter..

@ At the very least a neutral fighting arena where no bug has an advantage is key, as well as getting roughly the same body mass of each bug (weight, height, shape etc) and bear in mind different species of the same bug have different behaviours and differ in aggresiveness..eg one type of mantid ...

lol knew the male would be smaller but thats a really big difference in size...was the breeding ok?know this species isnt hardest to look after but breeding/hatching the ootheca (egg sac) can be hard with this species..

beautiful mantid..shame they only live a year..

2 days old...you can feed them 1 day after they hatch, and you shouldnt have to seperate them for canniballistic reasons until they shed 1st skin..then seperate them or they will attack each other..

the BLACK WIDOW is the most DANGEROUS as it makes its home in peoples houses so contact with it is more frequent.However death is not that frequent with adults and a temporary or permanent state of paralysis is most likely to occur than death..Usually a few bites are required to kill an adult but...
