@Helenacore - I did not discover her because of a TV show. Quite a few years ago, I heard the song "One Big Love". I thought it was Sheryl Crow. A bit of digging and I found out the truth. I have been a fan since then. (However, my fandom solidified when I heard "Kite song" on Joan of Arcadia.
@games4356 - This was late 80's thru 92. (5 seasons) I really liked this show, but towards the end it got way from the premise of never being famous people or in famous events. He became Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe's chauffeur and , the only decent one of these "Famous leaps" , Lee Harvey Oswa...
That actually sounds like a different series with Davis Hartman called "Lucas Tanner". About a former pro baseball player becoming a teacher. I remember the episode. There was another one about a kid shooting someone else at school. Quite ahead of it's time as far as that goes. (Unfortunately.)
