Cover the grates with an even layer of coal. Bust up a wood pallet and toss it in along with an oil soaked rag. Light a fusee and toss that in on top. Set it and forget it. Once the coal crackles, it's burning and then you tend it as required.

It is a great rig for sure, but it's not a proper restoration. It sits on a brand new Freightliner chassis and is powered by a new diesel engine. Basically, it's a new truck in an old wrapper. With that said, it's absolutely gorgeous!
