No music, no fancy stuff. Just real talk on more serious issues. Does evil really exist? Millions of pacifists and protectionists say it does NOT and even if it did, the police will protect you. They consider YOU the evil ones, armed and paranoid people who stare at the world with steely eyes and furor, hoping for disaster. At least so goes their media and spins about the prepared individual (who have increased exponentially, some because of TNP). Much energy is spent by these individuals in attempt to control public opinion and sway views on the Sheepdogs of society. This video is mostly intended for that audience. In the vid I address the Realities of Evil (this vid's original name) as I feel it can manifest itself in ROL, WROL, and even Govt Tyranny situations. In ROL, the criminal predator finds weakness and exploits it. Begging for mercy doesn't work. At least it didn't for the murder victims in the Ogden Hi-Fi Shop murders in 1974, a clear example of this evil which I refer to. These attacks often result in the murders of innocent people, perhaps some of which thought it could never happen to them. I don't care about the motivations of such attacks, tortures, and subsequent suffering. We could all build a house of cards on how we've been victimized in life and use that as an excuse to attack society. Their victims are still dead, having done nothing to deserve such a fate. In WROL it will be even worse as the restraints of law enforcement services vanish. WROL can be brought on by natural disaster, global economic collapse, war, terrorist attacks, and unforeseen disasters. Expect bad things and even formerly "good" people may make engaged in regrettable activities due to their own desperation (starvation). Here the protectonist will experience the sad realities of such situations and their life philosophy will shatter. I address the "basebat bat" philosophy here that they often adopt in rushed manner as they confront these realities head on. And it's possible that even the US Government can become so corrupt and oppressive that the restoration of Constitutional Freedom may become a necessity to overturn politicial imprisionments, unreasonable searches and seizures, taking of personal property and monies, and the abolishment of personal liberties under trumped up circumstances. The American inherits freedom hard won in battle and bloodshed and it has to be protected. We are its safeguards. The wise individual, cognizant of the suffering such an occurrence would bring, will actively participate in the political process doing his best to preserve the Consitution and restore liberties ALREADY lost. The complete loss of freedom will be self-evident I feel and will again require the citizenry (with whom power of the government resides) to rise up and help restore the Republic. I sincerely hope those days NEVER come as I am a lover peace and prosperity. As a retired Lt Col in the Armed Forces, much of my life has been directly spent in defending the Constitution and supporting the Rule of Law. But Evil is part of our life here on earth and has to be answered, not ignored. Peace of mind come with this realization and preparations that are made anticipating its arrival. It's not paranoia or extremism. It's simply a responsible approach to both personal and citizen responsibility. We seek to avoid evil and confrontation but when faced with no other option we will confront it head on and do the right thing. We are responsible citizens working our jobs, supporting and defending ROL, being good neighbors, serving our families and our fellow man, and loving our country. But within us resides resides the warrior patriot that refuses to be tread upon and made a slave. And it may just be such a man that saves YOUR life one day. Getting serious with the tools at hand, I dial up some axe use for us with the Gransfors Brüks small Forest Axe in Part 4 of Moonscape. We are at about 9500 ft elevation, it is spring, but we are still on about eight feet of snow. I am impressed with how sharp that sucker is leading to some excellent camp capabilities if you employ good technique. If your system can take its 37 ounces (heavy) then it can serve you well. We manage all the work on the deep snow but it doesn't slow us down much. Splitting logs, sharpening stakes, crosscutting, and making a wood wedge ensue. And we're not done with the Buck Hoodlum either and it again proves itself very capable in the woods. It's one of the lightests large survival blades around. I especially am impressed with its edge holding through all the work. The also excellent Ontario SP-46 comes out for some action as well and does great. I had anticipated that I would have to edit this testing down but even in post production it holds my interest and if you're interested in woods tools, it might for you as well. Cr0cket20 and I pick it up again in Part 4 with some spear manufacturing ;-0 //////////////////////////Music licensed to TNP from Jason Shaw.

Sight Issue: I sometimes joke about making up excuses for missing. Actually, it appear that in this video, for real, the reason I could not seem to hit the cinder block while holding the sights right on is the fact that my rear sight had loosened up substantially. :-) Notice the rear sight in the slow-motion shooting of the first close-in two-liter. Actually, I was glad to see that, because I thought I was in the Twilight Zone with my continued misses on that cinder block. I just KNEW I was holding right on it and getting a good trigger release, yet I kept seeing bullets hit the dirt. :-) It's "Reality YouTube"! I know it gets a little tedious for the viewer at times perhaps, as with the firing pin breakage in the Slide Fire Stock video, but we just don't like to edit out stuff unless it's absolutely necessary. Hope you enjoy the reality of our "Shooting Days." It's simple enough to edit out if we wanted.

Firemaking in progess as Part 3 picks up and you'll see if my paper thin wood shavings with the Mora TopQ worked or not with flint and steel. I wanted us to use natural methods only this time and we find it more time consuming and iffy, even in this good weather. After midnite the fire roars after all the works. We have chance to dry the feet out and get in some fireside chat on some interesting subjects (stay in your car!). The night is peaceful and solitude up here is complete, full moon still blazing brightly. I show you our shelter choices and discuss the specifics. Somewhere along the way I get even with Cr0cket for all the bad air he'd been pushing out. Then we get serious in the morning with lots of gear testing and making the always-tough TCE (time calorie energy) decisions. We are impressed with the Buck Hoodlum and it makes a perfect companion to the Sawvivor for minimizing work. Crosscutting the dense aspen log pretty much sucks but it gives the edges a good work out. Lots more testing ensues but as always the clock runs out on Moonscape Part 3! //////////////////////////Music licensed to TNP from Jason Shaw.
