What a lovely sounding box!

The guy on 2nd Box (Graeme Mitchell) is playing very well for a pissed man. very tight (pardon the pun) playing by a group of guys who don't normally play together. Brilliant! GM wasn't pissed BTW

Agreed! Lovely'understated drumming by the ever youthful DC. One of the best, as is the band.

Looks like Postie's Jig, but not the correct tune. Beautifully played though as you would expect from Graeme and the band.

Don't know the tune, but it starts off very similarly to 'The Hot Potato'. I have posted elsewhere that Powrie himself used 'Echoes of Oban' as the middle 64 bars. A 32 bar jig played twice doesn't reflect the composition of the dance which is 32/64/32 bars.

Can't answer Poppybox's Q about John MacGregor, but I think he may have died. Two friends who are the same age as I am (67) played as junior members of his band so he'll be getting on a bit if he's not dead. He certainly hasn't been on the band scene for many years. I'll post again if I speak ...
